It's DONE!!!!!!!!

Well, pretty close that is. Here is the bedroom getting ready to be dazzled by a chandelier...............................

And here it is.................................................(hear the drum roll?!?!?!?)......................................OMG!!!!! I totally LOVE it!!!!! It looks so beauteous!!!!!!! I never would have imagined I would have a vintage chandelier to wake up to every morning.

I finally got the curtains done and think they turned out pretty cute too.The curtains are the same but different as the lace embellishments are not the same on each one.I hung up the mirrors I have been gathering from auctions and sales.......................Now, all I need to do is finish painting the trim around the closet. I took the 'manwood' door off the closet and am making another curtain to hang in it's place. And also make some decorative pillows for the bed.

Changes Update

Now that the bedroom walls are painted, the armoire is painted, the wood floors scrubbed, and the furniture rearranged...........it is time to make some curtains. I am enjoying working with this brown houndstooth linen fabric. The curtains are hemmed and ready for embellishment. Went through my stash of lace and crocheted things and played around with arrangements on the curtains. Also here is that old dress I picked up for $5 so I could cut off the lace for these curtains.

Gunnar !!!!!!!!! You're busted, buddy!!!!!!!!

The armoire is painted black and I am looking for some glass knobs. I have found plastic that looks like glass and am still looking for glass. Please disregard the awful gold knobs that I had to put back on so the doors are functional.Remember the brown bedskirt I found at Goodwill for $6.99? Fits perfectly......................

Changes

More changes are happening at Calendula Court. It's the master bedroom this time. It's a very small room right off the kitchen in this old house. The wallpaper has always been a favorite pattern of mine and it is what my Grandparents had put up who knows when. Anyway, it is time for a change.

Rather than remove the wallpaper, I just primed over it and painted the walls and the ceiling 'linen.' I am making curtains and a duvet cover out of the brown houndstooth fabric shown here (click and scroll down a little) and finally the chandelier will get hung next week.

Also getting painted is an armoire. It was given to me (YEH) and I am painting it black. Just got started on it here with the primer that is gray.

Next I will glue some wooden wreaths to the doors and paint it all black.

The B'Hive...............................................is made up of things from around the house except for the $5 'door' table. It is the only purchased thing. Here is a bookcase that hubby had when I acquired him. I've moved it around and have always wanted to paint it's manwood. It is still manwood though and I am still married.

I love this vintage table! It belonged to my grandparents who lived in this house so I inherited the table and chairs with the house. The table has chippy white paint from being in the basement for many years and under the white paint is John Deere green, which my grandfather painted almost everything John Deere green or yellow.

I stuck Velcro on a folded vintage table cloth and stuck it to the side of the worktable to hide the stuff stored underneath

I got the brown chair cover at Goodwill for $3.99. I guess that is another purchase I made that I forgot about. Wow.....I spent $8.99!!!!!

I got the tray and dishes from Goodwill this week. I love going to Goodwill to see what is there. Always like the ultimate treasure hunt.

Spring.................sort of

It's a sort of Spring around here as I have been doing a lot of 'sorting'! I have been going through everything in the house and finding stuff that belongs in the 'B'Hive. I need to do that so I know what all I need to find homes for in the new craft room. It is still a mess...... as I find things that go in there I just dump someplace so that will need sorted also! Job security I guess....................

Here are some pics of the 'B'Hive..............................................

Here is one of the Bee lamps and I don't have any lampshades for them yet so I just threw a hat on top of it. Kinda cute! Behind it is a very old picture frame that I just love and some fabric that is a map of Paris. I may make a bulletin board out of them with criss-cross ribbons.
Here is the other lamp...........again topped with a hat. I've got plenty of ideas for all the picture frames seen here. I also have another tub of picture frames!!!
More pretty things waiting for Projects.......................................
